LOW-COST SOLUTIONS TO EASILY IMPROVE CURB APPEAL
Not every investment in your home involves spending money. Here are a few low (or zero) cost projects that can go a long way toward improving your home’s curb appeal.
- Clear clutter from the yard. Kids bikes and toys, old piles of firewood, garbage cans and recycling bins should never be the first thing a visitor sees upon approaching your home. Clean up the yard!
- Caulk and paint door and window trim. Not only is old caulking unsightly, it’s also a source of heating/cooling leaks. Paint wood trim before it begins to rot.
- Repair gutters, sagging fences, and neglected items. Not only are they eyesores, they’ll also likely develop into larger problems.
- Remove mold. With the right tools or contractor’s help, unsightly mold is easily removed from walls, roofs, sidewalks, and driveways.
- Power-wash the deck. Periodic cleaning and resealing of a deck will help it last for years and prevent unsafe splintering of the wood.
- Trim overgrown trees. Don’t wait for a branch to fall on your roof and cost you thousands in damages!
